Description 3 field on the consignment list records range of admission dates of students. Digital copies of this series are available in NTRS 4668.

Function / Content

This series consists of ten student admission registers that record information about teachers and students at the Alice Spring Higher Primary School. Included are date of admission, gender, date of birth, religion, name of student, occupation and residential address of parents or guardian, and remarks. The remarks include information about the date of leaving and the school to which student transferred. The beginning of the registers records names of teachers and dates commenced, ceased and location to which teacher transferred. Also recorded are statistics such as annual returns, total number of children in attendance, number of days of attendance, and number of days school was open. An alphabetical listing by surname letter including student number is located at the beginning of the registers. Included are entries of students under the guardianship of St Mary's Hostel. The series was in the custody of the National Trust of Australia NT (McDouall Stuart Branch) from approximately 1991 until they were transferred to the NTAS in 2017.
